Hello lovelies,
I love taking my time to colour in stamped images; carefully adding layer upon layer of colour to create depth. Oooof! It feels so good once it’s done!
BUT, let’s be real, sometimes I just cannot be bothered and in those times I want a hack to get me that look with a fraction of the effort.
I started by stamping my chosen image straight onto some coloured cardstock, with Versamark ink so that I could heat emboss it with Super Fine White powder by WOW!
I used pencil crayons to add some depth of shadows into the nooks & crannies of where the petals meet. I added some white over each leaf, then I added green over the top.
I added a very light white highlight to the outer ends of the petals, and between this highlight & the shading it completely changes the look of the flowers.
In this photo I have finished one of the flowers and I think you can really tell the difference!
Once I had done all of the flowers, I added some white gouache splatters and some dew drop embellishments.
I added some more green in the glitter die cut scripty happy by Lawn Fawn and I offset that with a blocky style ‘birthday’ on a small piece of vellum.
That’s it for this card; I just added it onto a 7×5 white card blank.
