Have you ever tried faux dip dye?
Real dip dye would take dipping this tag into different strengths of watercolour, allowing each layer to dry completely before loving on to the next; to be totally honest, I just was not feeling the effort this takes, so I cheated instead! ?
Faux Dip Dye
- Die cut the Nordic tag die from 110lb cardstock.
- Swipe each colour onto the tag, starting with the lightest and moving through each colour leaving a distinct line where each one begins. (You can do as many or as few colours as you want to!)
- Check out how I made this heat embossed flower over on this post.
- Die cut leaves from black cardstock and black glossy, and some of the extra bits from Pomegranate embossed cardstock. (From the same Trio as the flower.)
- Foil a sentiment in Matte Gold foil onto black glossy cardstock and die cut.
- Ink blend pale grey onto an a2 panel of Neenah 80lb through the Burlap Stencil and trim this down to leave a 1/8th border all round once matted onto an a2 panel of black cardstock.
- Arrange the elements and sentiment onto the tag and then pop this up on the panel.
- Embellish with a black twine now and enamel dots.
