Foiling & Ink Blending a Masculine Card – Aud Sentiments Challenge #250

Hey Crafty People!

Today kicks off another challenge over at Aud Sentiments Challenge Blog, this time round we have a ‘For The Guys’ theme and we are sponsored by Dr Digi’s They have kindly supplied me with the sentiment that is the centre of my make this time.

There are loads of sentiments on the download sheet I received, but as soon as I saw this one I knew that it had to be the one I used!!

I resized the sentiment and printed it onto Neenah Classic Crest using my Laserjet printer, this allows me to add thermo reactive foil onto it using a basic laminator. (I have more in depth details on how to do this here.)

I used a couple of make up brushes (Amazon) to blend Distress Ink over the entire sentiment; I started with Stormy Sky from the top and Evergreen Bough from the bottom, making sure to overlap them by quite a bit to give for a better blend.

I spritzed some water over to add to the distressed look, then cut it down to size with the largest panel die from a Simon Says Stamp set. I mounted it onto a warm grey cardbase and added some metal effect studs and a few Earl Grey Antique Drops by Nuvo.

Thank you for visiting my blog, if you’d like to see more of my artwork & how to’s and/or hear my thoughts on living with a chronic illness then please consider subscribing. T.
