Another Friday, another stunning release from Graciellie Designs! This time we have a Mother’s Day bundle with some gorgeous florals and a whole lotta sentiments. Gracie isn’t playing round, she has served us the widest range of sentiments I think I’ve ever seen. There are sentiments for every special woman in your life, and it is perfection.

As you may, or may not know, we have had Mother’s Day over here in the UK, but my family & I agreed to defer it because we can’t actually see each other at the moment, (*cheers Coronavirus, cracking job!)

I know that this lockdown is the safest thing to happen right now, and I agree with it 100% but it is rough. I am finding it so difficult because I am very close with both my Mom & Mother-In-Law and so are my daughters, so we are all missing them like crazy and just trying our best to take it day-by-day.

This sentiment is the perfect one for my Mom, who my daughters call Grandma, and who is for sure the best, most loving & patient Grandma.

I enjoyed taking some time out of my own head, mindfully taking care & attention to colour these beautiful florals. Sometimes I truly put my heart onto the page, wanting to convey through the time I’ve spent on a piece just how much the recipient means to me; this was definitely one of those times.

I chose yellow & orange because I know they are my Mom’s favourite and I coloured the smaller ones in colours that make me think of the Sweetpeas we always had in our garden when I was growing up.

I followed Kathy Racoosin’s colouring method, using alcohol markers to colour the bulk of the image and pencil crayons in all the nooks & crannies to really bring it to life.
