Hey Crafty People!
Earlier this month, I shared a cold transfer foiling technique and I’m back with another idea for using this technique, with a little hot foiled sentiment thrown in too for good measure!
So this card is foiled two ways…enjoy!
- Cut the largest Butterfly base from navy cardstock.
- Using the Star Bright Stencil, apply Transfer Gel Duo to the Butterfly base. Set aside to dry. (This paste goes on opaque white, but it turns clear once dried so it’s easy to see when it is ready to go to the next step.)
- Once completely dry, apply some Dark Blue Fab Foil to the entire stencilled area, and run through your die cutting machine. Peel back the release to see the gorgeous results! ?
- Adhere a Silver die cut body, folding the wings up slightly for dimension. Also assemble two of the smallest butterflies with a navy base and silver body.
- Die cute the frame from the December 2021 Small Die Of The Month from the same silver cardstock, but stack this on top of 3 layers of scrap cardstock.
- Adhere to an a2 panel, and put your largest Butterfly in the centre, with some foam tape layered behind the wings for support.
- Foil a small sentiment in Silver foil, using your *Glimmer machine. (*or similar) Adhere this sentiment to your Butterfly.
- Place your two smaller butterflies and some blue gems to embellish.
