Art Club Card Kit | 10 Cards, 1 Kit

Hey Crafty People!

I recently got some proper bargains in the Spellbinders sale and one of the things that I picked up was the Art Club card kit of the month from sometime in 2020. So I decided to make 10 cards, with this 1 kit!

This kit itself is no longer available unfortunately, but some of the individual elements are available, and I am also hopeful that this inspires you to look through your own stash for products that could work the same!

Nice Is The New Cool

  1. Cut down a piece of the patterned paper to a2 size and adhere directly to one of the card bases, using your preferred adhesive method.
  2. Apply foam adhesive to your chosen die cuts and adhere them onto your card, positioning them to nestle around your sentiment.
  3. For a matching envelope, add another die cut to the front of it.

Be You

  1. Cut down your chosen patterned paper to a2 size and adhere onto your card base.
  2. Cut a strip of the gold mirror cardstock, and adhere this horizontally across the card.
  3. Add a couple of fun images/sentiments from the chipboard sticker set. Use foam adhesive for added dimension.
  4. Embellish with some of the sequins from the kit. (*OPTIONAL: Add small gems to balance out the embellishments.)
  5. Another matching die cut image looks great as a coordinating envelope.

Hey, Hey, Hooray!

  1. Trim a piece of patterned paper to roughly 2/3’s a2 panel and attach to your card base. Attach really thin strips of gold mirror cardstock to the top & bottom edge.
  2. Add a sentiment and cute image, both from the chipboard stickers.
  3. Embellish with some of the puffy hearts from the kit.
  4. Another die-cut image on the envelope coordinates perfectly.

Limited Edition

  1. Trim a strip of solid colour of tone-on-tone patterned paper, then trim out two thinner pieces of a contrasting pattern. Fix the smaller strips on either edge of the colour piece, and then adhere the whole thing onto an a2 card base.
  2. Choose some pre-made die-cuts images & sentiments, adding them to the card with foam adhesive.
  3. Embellish with puffy heart stickers.
  4. A thin strip of patterned paper, and a sweet little die-cut for the envelope.

Do Your thing

  1. Trim down two contrasting pieces of paper, one 4.25 x 5.5inch & the other 4 x 5.25inch, and adhere down onto an a2 card base.
  2. (There was a die cut Polaroid frame in the pre-mades from this kit, which I used, but you could easily make a similar one using a couple of basic dies.) Back the Polaroid frame with a solid colour paper and adhere to the card.
  3. Add a chipboard sticker into the ‘picture’ and add a sentiment on foam adhesive for extra dimension.
  4. Embellish with a coordinating puffy heart sticker.
  5. A strip of patterned paper makes for the perfect coordinating envelope.

Wonder Filled Day

  1. Again, you add two pieces of contrasting patterned paper one slightly smaller to give you a nice matting layer.
  2. Adhere your sentiment die-cut with foam adhesive, then adhere a selection of images around it. Use a mix of foam adhesive and liquid glue for added interest & dimension.
  3. Additional die-cuts on the envelope again!

H I Spells Hi

  1. Trim down, and adhere a piece of solid colour, or tone-on-tone paper to an a2 card base.
  2. Adhere a whole bunch of the die-cut images across the whole card. (Top tips! Position your largest images first, then fill in the gaps with smaller ones. Also, make sure your images go off the edge of the card for a much more natural look.)
  3. It’s ok to change your mind! I had a red clipboard at first, but I changed my mind and just added a couple of die cuts directly over the top of it!
  4. Tear a strip of Vellum that is longer than the width of you card, and scrunch the vellum to add lots of lovely texture & interest.
  5. Place a mixture of die cuts & chipboard stickers onto the vellum strip, and then add glue behind these to adhere the vellum onto the card. (This way you won’t see any of the adhesive through the vellum. Once the glue has dried, trim the edges of the vellum to the width of your card.
  6. A puffy pencil sticker was the perfect addition! ? (Save a couple of the die cut images to add onto your envelope.)

Some Kind Of Wonderful

  1. Trim and adhere a piece of the patterned paper onto an a2 cardbase, leaving a white border all the way around. Then add a strip of a bold patterned paper horizontally across the whole cardbase.
  2. Cut two strips of contrasting papers, and trim the ends into fishtail banners. Offset these slightly to allow one to look like the shadow of the other, then adhere to the cardbase. (Tip! Leave the strips longer than needed so that you can trim them once they are on the card, this is so much easier than trying to line up a trimmed edge to the edge of a card perfectly.)
  3. Attach a sentiment using foam adhesive and embellish with a mixture of puffy image stickers and hearts.
  4. You guessed it…a die-cut image makes for the perfect coordinating envelope.

Inspire Me

  1. Cut down a strip of rainbow patterned paper and adhere directly to an a2 card base. Add a thin strip of Gold mirror cardstock either side of the rainbow, being careful that the gold strips sit flush to the rainbow right the way down the card.
  2. Stamp out the easel image and the little girl’s face using Blackout ink on Neenah 80lb, then stamp one of the sentiments onto the canvas itself.
  3. Add quick & easy colouring in whatever way you are most comfortable with; I used Copics for these images. (TIP! Don’t neglect white spaces when colouring, these would naturally have some shadow on them, so for a much more realistic finish, add some very light shading to the canvas.)
  4. Fussy cut the images, using some mini snips and/or a craft blade.
  5. Adhere to the card with adhesive foam tape and embellish with puffy heart stickers.
  6. For some extra detail to the background, and to draw your eye into design, add some faux stitching detail with a black fineliner.
  7. Then you can really step up the finish by adding Glossy Accents to the girl’s glasses.
  8. Matching envelope is just another fun die-cut from the pack.

Creative & Kind

  1. Die cut the various pieces that you need from white cardstock, then add colour to each area in turn with your preferred colouring method. Assemble the various pieces and set aside.
  2. Again, trim and stick a piece of patterned paper onto the cardbase, and stamp a sentiment from the included set, in Blackout Ink. Multiple stamping if you need/want to get a bold impression.
  3. Pop your assembled die-cut up on some foam adhesive.
  4. Nestle some simple white & gold floral elements around the image and stamped sentiment.
  5. Use Glossy Accents to add a shine to the paint blobs and set aside to thoroughly dry.
  6. Again, pre made die-cut images make for the ideal envelope decoration.

After the video, I decided to add a sub-sentiment to each card, and I used all ‘thank you’ type sentiments, from my Fab Foiler sentiment pack. Then I used all of these for end of year teacher’s/school staff thank you cards! ?
