I am so honoured & grateful to be invited to join Alex Syberia’s July Release as a Guest DT, There are so many beautiful images in this release and I had so much fun playing with some of them, so I have lots of inspiration to dish out over the weekend!

I’m starting with this Beautiful Flowers Slimline which I sketched and cut out using my Cameo 4 on some watercolour paper that I had already painted. [I tapped 2 Nuvo Shimmer Powders onto the paper and spritzed it with water to create a beautiful and very organic background.]

I added it onto some layered patterned paper that I had blended a little ink onto, along with a stacked big Hello sentiment from Waffle Flower and some Nuvo Drops.

I coloured this Playful Plumeria in the no blending technique that Yana Smakula has done in lots of her videos; it felt quite strange to be purposely leaving such obvious boundaries between colours, but it was actually really relaxing once I got into it!

Once I had finished colouring the whole panel I used some of the nesting circles by Waffle Flower to cut out different sized circles from the panel.

I added these along with white circles, popping some up on foam tape, and black Nuvo drops onto a A2 kraft card base, allowing some to go past the edges. I trimmed the circles down and added a vellum printed sentiment from my little pot of sentiments I keep on my desk.

I managed to fit a smaller Beautiful Flowers Slimline out of the Nuvo Shimmer powder panel and I made a bonus card with it!

I added a white Trellis Cover Plate (Catherine Pooler) die cut onto an A2 panel of this warm grey cardstock and trimmed it down 1/8 inch from each edge and popped this up on foam tape onto an A2 card base.

For my sentiment I stacked 3 purple Hello die cuts on top of each other and added them onto my card. I finished this design with some sparkling clear sequins. (Kat Scrappiness).
