Hey Crafty People!

Today, I am sharing another two cards which I made for the Kickstarter campaign launched by Alex Syberia Designs…this campaign is to cover production of their very first physical products release!

It’s very exciting…if not a touch nerve-wracking because with Kickstarter, it’s all or nothing, so if they don’t meet the £12000 they are aiming for they won’t get any of the money.

Two Tone Background

This little guy is TOO CUTE! However, I have to admit, it’s that sentiment which had me the moment I lay eyes on it! It’s perfect…just the kind of passive-aggressive sassiness that I long for in a sentiment!

1. The little Bear was stamped and then coloured with my Copic Markers. I added white gel highlights and fussy cut him, then set him aside to work on a background.
2. Mask off a border and add some Wintergreen ink blended up from the bottom, and Clay Mask from the top down. Leaving a bit of space between the two colours avoids making any muddy messes and works to form natural highlight in the centre of the panel.
3. Pop up the awesome little bear on foam tape and add some red jelly hearts to pull the red from his accessories through into the background.
4. I’m repeating a technique from one of my previous posts, by colouring a sentiment strip to match my background but this way the strip gives a bit more dimension to the sentiment.
5. Embellish with some glossy red hearts.

Cool Toned Colour Scheme

1. Again, I stamped and coloured the little critter image with my Copic markers. Once I was finished colouring I fussy cut him with a small white border.
2. For additional interest, add white gel pen highlights throughout. Then, add Black Glaze pen to his nose & eyes. Set him aside to work on the background.
3. Mask off a border and ink blend, following the same technique as before but this time just use 2-3 different shades of blue.
4. Leave the mask in place, whilst splattering some Perfect Pearls & water mixture across the panel. Let this dry.
5. Stamp a sentiment and then colour the cardstock with a green ink that matches the aesthetic of your funny little Hedgehog.
6. Pop the little dude and the sentiment up on foam tape for dimension.
7. Embellish with several Opal crystal gems.
