Today, I’m creating some rather PAWESOME Stripes, to make this super fun, Paper strip background, for this special Mother’s Day card.

Paper Stripes Background

1. Cut several colours of Heffy Doodle cardstock into strips 1/4inch wide. (See supplies list below for colours used in this card.) Apply glue tape to an a2 panel of Neenah 80lb and lay down your strips in whatever order you would like them. Trim off any overhang once you have covered most of the panel, and you can use the offcuts to fill in the shorter stripes at either end of the panel.
2. Run the finished stripey panel through your die cutting machine with the Quilted Hearts cover die and pop out any stubborn hearts that don’t want to leave!
3. Adhere to the Paws of Love stencil with Memo Tape and ink blend Unicorn White Pigment ink across the whole thing.
4. Die cut the paw from Pretty Pawsome; vellum for the backing piece and then cut the detail layer from Neenah 80lb and double sided adhesive foam. Stack these up on top of each other.
5. Cut the You Are Pawesome Shadow Cuts; detail layer from the foam and Neenah again, and the shadow piece from Black Glossy cardstock. Layer all of them up and set aside.
6. Stamp two Sausage Dogs from Yappy Happy Mail onto our alcohol marker friendly cardstock, and gently heat to dry. Colour using a mix of Copic markers and pencil crayon.
7. Adhere the card together, as shown.
