Rainbows, silhouettes, and stamping? Yes, please! For today’s Pride Month project, I’m sharing three striking ways to combine rainbow backgrounds with bold silhouette stamping. This video was originally shared three years ago, but I’ve brought it back with a fresh twist and updated tutorial!

Striped Ink Cube Background

1. Use mini ink cubes directly on an A2 panel of white cardstock to create colourful horizontal stripes.
   
2. Start with the centre colour (I chose yellow) and work outward, building up the intensity until you’re happy with the result.
   
3. Let the panel dry completely before placing it into your MISTI or stamping platform.
   
4. Stamp a large solid image (like a floral or abstract shape) in Obsidian Black Pigment Ink. Repeat stamping until you get full coverage.
   • Add a sentiment in the same black ink for a quick, impactful one-layer card.

Emboss Resist Rainbow Reveal

1. Diagonally ink blend a rainbow background across your A2 cardstock.
   
2. Allow this to dry completely – the panel needs to be totally dry for embossing to work properly.
   
3. Stamp your large solid image with WOW! Embossing Ink, then heat emboss with Clear Gloss powder.
   
4. Once cooled, cover the entire panel with Obsidian Black Pigment Ink using a sponge tool.
   
5. Buff away excess black ink from the embossed image with a dry cloth to reveal your hidden rainbow.
   
6. Finish with a simple sentiment die cut into a circle and popped up on foam adhesive.

Direct-To-Stamp Rainbow Inking

1. Place your stamp and panel into your MISTI.
   
2. Apply the first colour (Red) to the top section of the stamp and soften the edge with a small blending brush.
   
3. Stamp onto your cardstock and clean the stamp.
   
4. Continue adding colours in stripes down the stamp, blending edges each time to ensure smooth transitions.
   
5. Finish the card with a black pigment sentiment for another impactful one-layer design.
