Today’s project brings a bold, fun splash of colour in celebration of the Bisexual Pride flag. I used a mix of vibrant pink, purple, and blue hues to echo the flag’s colours, blending a few of my favourite techniques—ink blending, heat embossing, and alcohol marker colouring. Let’s get started on these adorably proud Flamingos

Bi & Proud!

1. Create the Sentiment:
   • Start by heat embossing WOW! Superior Smooth cardstock using Grapefruit Fizzos embossing powder.
   • Die cut this with the You’re So Sweet word die from Heffy Doodle.
   • Back it with a second foam die cut for dimension, and mount the whole piece onto a white shadow layer cut from Neenah 80lb cardstock. Set it aside.
   
2. Stamp & Colour the Flockstars:
   • Stamp flamingos and other elements from the Flockstars set using Versafine Onyx Black, then heat emboss with Clear Gloss powder.
   • Keep your Copic colouring to a limited palette inspired by the Bi flag (pinks, purples, and cool blues).
   • Die cut all your images, and don’t forget to emboss your sub-sentiment too—trim it into a small white-framed rectangle.
   
3. Stencil Background:
   • Take a Cornflower blue cardstock panel (A2 sized), and ink blend the Bits & Bytes stencil using a darker blue like Drive In.
   • Once stencilling is done, go back in with that same ink and deepen the edges of the panel to add contrast.
   
4. Assemble Your Card:
   • Once everything’s dry, arrange and adhere your images and sentiments using a mix of liquid glue and foam adhesive for layering and movement.
   
5. Final Touches:
   • Embellish with white adhesive dots that have been coloured with a light pink Copic marker to tie in with the flamingo tones.
