Today, I’m celebrating a milestone as one of my creations was included in the latest issue of Die Cutting Essentials! Along with some of my fellow Heffy Doodle DT members, we shared inspiration for the Shaker Tag and Shaker Gift die sets. I created a shaker tag which was featured and I’ve got a matching card to share too!

Coordinating Birthday Card

1. Ink blend an ombre onto an a2 panel of Neenah Solar White, using Catherine Pooler inks; Party Dress & Flirty Fuschia, then allowing the colour to fade into white. Allow to dry, then cut with the Quilted Hearts Background Die. Adhere onto an a2 panel of Gold cardstock so that the Gold shows through the hearts & stitched lines.
2. Die cut the solid square from the Present Shaker set out of Neenah Solar White and ink blend with the same Catherine Pooler inks. To darken the edges, add some Grape Crush, very sparingly. Splatter with Gold metallic paint and set aside to dry fully.
3. Use both Neenah Solar White and Gold Glitter card for the bow & ribbons. Stack them, offsetting slightly to give a drop shadow effect. Adhere onto the present and use foam tape to adhere onto your card panel.
4. Cut the little tag & string die from Neenah Solar White and using a fineliner, draw or write a little message and adhere in place on the gift.
5. For the sentiment; die cut the shadow from Neenah Solar White and the word die from Gold Glitter cardstock. (For added dimension, stack the Gold glitter words on top of 2-3 layers of white cardstock.) Adhere to the shadow and then onto the panel with foam adhesive.
