We’re celebrating a fabulous new release over at Time For Tea Designs, and this one is packed full of Summer & Birthday goodness!!! ?
Today I’m sharing two cards that I made with this new release, but I’ve got a bunch more to share throughout the month too….this release is so good, I just couldn’t stop creating!!!
The new paper pad makes it so easy to create quick and easy cards, especially when it’s paired with the new Big Birthday Wishes die. I absolutely love a big sentiment die that takes up a decent amount of space on the front of your card; it just makes it so much easier to create quick cards!
Birthday Goodness…
I just had to use this adorable little mouse carrying a cupcake from the new Birthday Bear stamp set; I stamped him in Detail Black ink from Pinkfresh Studio, and coloured him with my Copic Markers. The coordinating die set made it super quick to cut him out ready to go onto my card design.
I trimmed a panel of Navy cardstock from my stash into an A2 panel (4.25 x 5.5 inch) and I used the ????? die set to cut a slightly smaller panel of the pink & white polka dot paper from the new paper pad.
Before I layered this onto the navy panel, I took advantage of all of the space that would be hidden; this is a great place to cut your sentiment from. Be sure that you aren’t wasting too much cardstock behind your layers!
Stacked up sentiments always look so much better, in my opinion, so I cut the sentiment a total of three times and glued them on top of each other to give additional dimension.
A few coloured gems from my stash finished this cute as a button card off perfectly!
Summer & Birthday Goodness
For my second card, I amped up the Summer factor with this GORGEOUS ombre from the paper pad. I matted onto the diagonal stripe design, also from the new pad.
This time I cut the sentiment from gold mirror cardstock, stacked on top of two Neenah 80lb die cuts.
The paper was a little too busy for the sentiment to really pop off. So I used my go to solution! A vellum panel cut with the same ???? set I used in my first card is the perfect separation.
This card came together so quickly and easily! Which is always a bonus when you are low on crafty time, or you realise you need a birthday card, stat!
