Abstract Triangle Watercolour Pigment

This Abstract Triangle background stamp is one of the two stamp sets that I designed and I paired it with the GORGEOUS Blue Diamond EP out of the new Cocktail Trio, which was inspired by my incredible friend Jo Herbert.

Blue Diamond is a mix of different grades of powder, with glitter through it and I wanted to show how well this can still emboss the fine details in this stamp! WOW powders really are the best.

I embossed the Triangles onto some Distress Watercolour Cardstock and then I tapped some Violet Brocade Nuvo Shimmer Powder over the panel and spritzed it with clean, clear water. Then, I added a little more powder and/or water where needed, then left the whole thing to dry naturally. (Usually, I would speed up the process with setting 1 on my Dual Speed Heat Gun, but I didn’t want to risk burning the embossing.)

Once dry, I tore down one side of the panel to create some added texture and I added it to a strip of the Blue Diamond embossing; I really wanted to show off this stunning powder in all its glory!

The sentiments are all from the small A7 sentiment die sets that were part of the release earlier this year.

Reaching For Midnight

The Trio I inspired is called Moonlight and I wanted to pair it with some fabulous Moon/Night Sky themed products that I have; you can see another example of this on another card I recently shared.

I embossed the It’s A Phase background stamp by Hero Arts onto a panel of Neenah 80lb cardstock, using Midnight. This is so dramatic, and I absolutely LOVE it!!! I trimmed the edges of the panel and matted it onto some gold mirror cardstock, before attaching that to a navy, top folding card base.

I finished the card really simply, by adding a die cut sentiment which is from a recent Altenew release.
TOP TIP! I wanted my sentiment to be from the same gold mirror cardstock, so before I glued the panels together, I cut the sentiment from the centre of the gold panel. Nobody would ever know, and I used cardstock which would have been wasted otherwise!

Pink-A-Licious Fun

This design is quite a way from my go to, but I wanted to do something a little fun with the gorgeous new pinks in Jo’s Pink-A-Licious Trio.

I stamped the Abstract Triangle onto a card panel, using the Ultra Slow Drying ink, and then I added each of the pink powders in turn to give me an ombre style effect.
You just need to aim the powder over the portion you want to be in that colour and then tip it so that the fallout falls away from the other ink. Just do this as many times as you want, depending on number of colours you’re using. Then heat set it all together.

To continue the pink theme, I used Be Mine ink from Catherine Pooler to custom colour a cardstock layer to mat underneath my embossed panel and then I cut each of these out with the Modern Embossed Stacking Rectangles dies from Trinity Stamps.

I stamped a sentiment from the Thank You sentiments stamp set using the same Be Mine ink and fussy cut round it…inspired by Verity’s incredible fussy cutting capabilities!! I put the sentiment on a piece of holographic paper, then added a few random triangles that I cut from the same holographic paper and some of the leftover ink coloured card stock.

Midnight Blessings

If you have seen my previous WOW projects then you’ll know that I LOVE a full background of delicious embossed goodness, and I couldn’t refuse pairing my Moonlight powders with some of the gorgeous Midnight Summer’s Dream release from Scrappy Tails!

I used Midnight for the background and then I cut the moon and stars from a scrap of cardstock I embossed with Grey Sky At Night. I die cut the rest of the pieces from some vellum & some more Neenah 80lb cardstock.

The Winter Blessings sentiment is from my other stamp set, Snowy Christmas and I embossed it in Grey Sky At Night.
