If you’ve seen much of my Instagram you’ll know that I absolutely adore the Friendship Blooms set by Hero Arts x Gina K, for several reasons; firstly it is gorgeous, secondly it is so large that it fills a card so easily that creating with it has become effortless.
Today I wanted to share 2 cards which both use this set but show the big difference that a coloured card base can make.
I embossed the image onto Gold Pearl card stock in Gold & Metalline Purple powders. After I’d trimmed both panels down I added them onto a card base, 1 white & 1 black. I added matching embossed sentiments and that was all I needed to do.
I don’t use coloured card bases very often; I’m a sucker for a classic white or Kraft but I saw these black ones online and I really wanted to try them. I think they actually look really quite elegant, especially with the Gold Pearl panel. I did add a white panel onto the inside so that there is a place to write a personal message though.
