Hey Crafty People!
Happy Pride 2025, crafty people! Today’s tutorial— Translucent Rainbow Washi Tape Over Stamping for Pride 2025—shows you how to layer translucent rainbow washi tape over a bold black floral stamp, letting the image outline peek through for a fun rainbow twist, while the rest of the blooms remain crisp in black & white.

In a year when #PrideMonth matters more than ever, let’s craft with purpose and spread real support for the LGBTQIA+ community.
Why Pride Is More Than Rainbows

This year #PrideMonth is even more important given the very real danger posed to those under the LGBTQIA+ umbrella. Yes, #loveislove—but it’s vital to stand up and offer REAL support. As someone in the community, I extend love & solidarity to all my guys, gals & non-binary pals.
I want to be so clear:
• Pride is not political.
* Love is love.
• Offering somebody basic human decency is non-negotiable.
* What bits someone has under their pants is none of your business.
Get your mind outta their pants and choose kindness. Expect extra rainbows here this June!

Translucent Rainbow Washi Tape Over Stamping
- Stamp your floral image. Ink your large flower stamp with black ink and press onto the A2 cardstock panel. Let it dry completely.
- Layer the translucent washi tape. Apply strips of the translucent rainbow washi tape over a portion of the stamped flower—watch the vibrant colours shine through the black lines, while the rest of the bloom stays crisp in black & white. Fold tape ends to the back edge and tear the opposite ends to a rough finish.
- Die-cut your sentiment. Cut “pride!” from champagne glitter cardstock. Stack 2–3 layers of white-scrap die cuts beneath for dimension. Adhere over the taped section.
- Add your reverse sentiment. Stamp “HAVE” in black, trim to a short strip, and pop it up on foam adhesive next to your glitter letters.
- Embellish. Finish with a few gems or sequins for extra sparkle.
I’ll be sharing a new Pride-themed or inspired project every day this June—so make sure you’re subscribed and following along on Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest so you don’t miss a single rainbow moment.
