Hey Crafty People!
If you are looking for a quick, easy and CHEAP way to watercolour your images, then I have the greatest watercolour hack for you!
Getting that watercolour look with one inexpensive tool!
- Stamp images & sentiment from Quack Me Up stamp set in Versafine Onyx Black ink onto watercolour paper and emboss in Clear Gloss Embossing powder.
- Using a clear Blender Tombow marker, pick up ink directly from the ink pad and add colour directly to the shadow areas of your images. (I use Catherine Pooler inks, which work AMAZINGLY for this technique.) Then, blend that colour out over the whole image. Keep topping up ink on your marker, by touching the tip to the ink pad. To change out the colour, scribble all of the colour that is left on your marker onto some scrap paper.
- Once coloured, die cut with the coordinating dies and set aside.
- Cut an a2 panel of Oreo Crunch cardstock and die cut a panel of Neenah Solar White 80lb with a Mini Scalloped Rectangle die to layer on top.
- Cut a Pond using the Build-a-Pond die set, out of Cookie Monster cardstock. Ink blend darker colour around the edges and darken the back section. For some added texture, use the Water Ripples stencil to lightly go over the whole pond. Cut some raindrops from the same cardstock using Quack Me Up coordinating die set.
- Adhere your images & sentiment onto the card with either liquid or foam adhesive to give dimension to your scene. Embellish with Starry Night Sparkle Mix sequins.
Watercolour HACK!
Please be aware:
As part of my Design Team and Guest Design work I do often receive free products to use, but I only ever recommend products that I genuinely love.
Also, I know how incredibly lucky I am to have these opportunities, but you don’t always NEED the newest products or the ‘full set’.
So please don’t feel that you need everything.
I like to show a variety of brands and products; this way there will be something for everybody to enjoy.
