Hey Crafty People!
I don’t often create larger cards, but I needed a larger surface area to make this card design work, so I decided to try a larger card for size!
- Cut a 7x5inch panel of Navy cardstock and ink blend around the edges with a darker navy ink, letting the ink fade away towards the centre. Too deepen the very edges a little more, try using a deep purple ink. Set aside to dry.
- Take the larger label from the Spring Labels Etched Die set and lay the criss-cross detail die into the centre, using Best Ever Craft Tape to hold these two dies together. This way you can cut multiples of them without the inner bit shifting between passes. Cut three from Neenah 80lb.
- Back each of the three labels with gold glitter cardstock and mount down the centre of the 7x5inch panel on foam tape. Trim the overhanging parts off 1with long scissors or a paper trimmer.
- Die cut a variety of florals & additional bits from Neenah 80lb and add colour using your preferred colouring medium, I used Copics this time. (These elements are from a few different sets, both new and older. I used both the Spring & Summer Label Motifs sets – the Month/Butterfly is from the Summer set. You can absolutely use whatever you have in your stash!) Layer up the different elements, securing with liquid adhesive.
- Foil a sentiment and trim down before adding across the width of your card.
- Position your various elements on the card, framing the sentiment.
- Embellish with gold baubles.
