Hey Crafty People!

Today I’m sharing two projects that I created using the Memory Keeping Supplies from Time For Tea Designs’ latest release. In my video I share several ideas for using memory keeping supplies for cardmaking.

Let’s Catch Up

For the background, I used White Ultra High embossing powder for a subtle, tone on tone look on the Superior Smooth White cardstock. I trimmed the panel down to 5.25x4inch and mounted it onto a panel that I edged with one of the blue Copic markers that I used on the images.

For the focal point on this card, I layered up two tags . The bottom tag is cut from a larger panel that I stamped with different grey speech bubbles. I added some extra interest using a black fineliner to add sketchy outline for each speech bubble. That top tag is cut from vellum and I offset the two slightly, using wet glue to the bottom which I knew would be covered.

I added two coffee cups that I had stamped, coloured with Copics and die cut, popping them up on foam tape for dimension.

I used the white Puffy Alphas to create my own sentiment; then embellished the tags with acrylic drops and some black & white string.

Woof!

This time I used black twinkle to emboss my background for a really dramatic contrast, then I layered this on a piece of blue cardstock from my stash.

From the same grey stamped panel I used for my first card, I cut the Polaroid picture frame and added a really simple background that I coloured with Copics. The images were all coloured with Copics and die cut. I popped them up on foam tape, letting them come out of the background which gives added interest. Afterwards, I added the whole thing onto my background with more foam tape.

Again, I used the Puffy Alphas to add my sentiment, opting for a blue Hey & white Woof!

Bonus Card!

This is a bonus card that I didn’t include in my video although it builds upon the theme of my post, so I wanted to add it here.

I layered up pieces of patterned paper behind a die cut Polaroid frame similarly to the way that you often see on Scrapbook pages. I even added some of the tabs from the sticker sheets that were part of the release. The little mouse is also stamped and Copic coloured, then die cut. I popped him up on foam tape and added the whole thing to an a2 panel of Neenah 80lb on foam tape also.

For my sentiment, I used the This & That die to cut ‘this’ from some patterned paper and finished the sentiment using Puffy Alphas again. The acrylic dots make for fun and vibrant pops of colour throughout!
