There’s No Such Thing As TOO MUCH Glitter…
I had SO MUCH fun with this card! I stamped out the gorgeous images from the new We Fit stamp set onto some watercolour cardstock and then I used a Tombow Blender Marker to colour them using the gorgeous Luxe inks!!!
So, this is a new technique (to me) that I saw Catherine Pooler recently used and IT WAS AMAZING.
I’m definitely using this technique again and I will be posting a video on it soon!
Once I had them all coloured, I cut them using the coordinating die cuts.
My background is the incredible Halo embossing glitter from WOW, inspired by Catherine Pooler; I smooshed my WOW ink pad into a piece of Superior Smooth cardstock and coated it in Halo. To get full coverage I did emboss my panel twice.
I popped up my doll images using foam tape, and glued the flowers & leaves straight onto the panel with liquid glue. I cut the dolls off at the edge of the panel, and then these bits are perfect for filling any gaps!
The sentiment is embossed in my beloved Superfine White embossing powder on the same black pearl cardstock that I’ve matted my doll panel on.
Sparkle Strips & Foiled Stripes
The two dolls on this card are leftovers from my first card, gotta love having the opportunity for a two-fer! ?
To get the background, I adhered several strips of scor-tape, in different widths and I added foils and sparkles to get these gorgeous stripes! (You can see the individual products in my supply list down below ?)
Slimline Simplicity
Using my MISTI I lined up the four doll images, and stamped them twice to get a really dark & crisp outline.
I coloured my images using the following combinations throughout each image to get a consistent colour scheme throughout:
- R81, RV09, RV19,RV55
- B00, B02, B02, B05
- YR15,YR16, YR68, E08
- Y00, Y02, Y11, Y08
