Today we will be heat embossing with a stencil and talking about my tips for adding multiple layers of embossing on top of each other. This is also the latest installment of being a Crafty Swiftie, and in case you couldn’t tell…I’m in my Reputation era this week!

This tutorial includes lots of different techniques, ideas & tips so it’s definitely worth a watch! ?

Heat Embossing with a Stencil

1. Line your stencil up on an a2 panel of white cardstock and hold it in place with some Mint Tape to stop it from shifting. Apply WOW Embossing Ink through your stencil using a Pint Size Paper Pouncer.
2. Pour over Hisss Embossing Glitter and heat set. Repeat this 2-3times until your image is opaque and even.
3. Repeat these steps to add 2 layers of Clear Gloss over the top.
4. Once cooled, fussy cut and set aside.

Layered Background

1. Ink blend Catherine Pooler inks onto an a2 panel of red cardstock, so that the darkest colour is on the outside and the centre is the original colour of cardstock, to leave a natural highlight.
2. Splatter the panel with green metallic paint and set aside to dry.
3. Ink blend the same image onto the centre of the background panel on dark grey CP ink.
4. Use selective positioning of some Hero Transfers Rub-Ons to add more interest to your background.

Sentiment

1. Stamp your sentiment in Versafine Onyx Black onto a red metallic cardstock and emboss in Clear Gloss. Repeat onto a piece of white cardstock and die cut both.
2. Cut off a section of the red die cut sentiment, and stack it on top of the white one using foam adhesive.

Assemble the card and add some black gems to embellish.
