June 2024 New Release Blog Hop

1. Start by placing the Butterfly background stamp from Crafty Meraki in your MISTI. Ink it up with WOW’s embossing ink and stamp onto an A2 panel of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock.
2. Slide a sheet of scrap paper underneath the stamped panel. Pour Concrete embossing powder from the Building Blocks Quad over the entire panel. Make sure it’s covered completely, then tap off the excess powder.
3. Heat the powder from below to start the melting process, then finish heating from the front to ensure complete melting. Tilt the panel in the light to check for any unmelted areas, which will appear matte.
4. Take a vibrant yellow Dina Wakely Gloss Spray and splatter it over the panel. For varied splatter sizes, tap the straw lightly for smaller dots and harder for larger spots. Move the straw around to control the splatter direction. Set the panel aside to dry fully.

Other Elements

1. Before die-cutting the sentiment, cover the cardstock with embossing ink by pressing and swiping the ink pad. Apply Kiwi Gold embossing powder from the Citrus Quad, ensuring it’s well-mixed. Heat emboss the powder until it turns glossy.
2. After the embossing cools, add double-sided adhesive foam behind the embossed panel and then die cut your sentiment and small butterfly dies to give them dimension. Set these elements aside for later use.
3. To create the matting layer, apply embossing ink to each side of an A2 panel and cover with Concrete embossing powder. Heat set the powder carefully. Trim down your Butterfly panel to 4 x 5.25 inches and mount it onto the matting layer using foam adhesive. This will leave a 1/8-inch grey border around the Butterfly panel.
4. Add the foam-backed sentiment and butterflies to the card. Arrange the butterflies in a visual triangle around the large word die cut. For a tailored message, consider adding a sub-sentiment from the Sweet Sentiments Fab Foiler pack. Enjoy the unique color scheme and the dimensional effect of your handmade card.
