Negative Foiling and Mixed Foils | Spellbinders

Hey Crafty People!

I love to really get the most out of my supplies, so the Solid Foil Plate was an absolute game changer for me! Today I’m sharing a card that uses that negative foiling and mixed foils for a fun look.

  1. Die cut, ink blend & stitch the ampersand from the new stitched alphabet. (More details on how I did that here.)
  2. Foil the April Glimmer of the Month background piece onto an a2 panel of smooth white cardstock with Prism Glimmer Foil. (This is a half background, so you just foil it once, then turn the cardstock 180 degrees and foil again to get a full panel.)
  3. To get the solid foiled hexagon, foil the leftover from the hexagon frame in Geo Florals. (The details for that frame are on the same post linked above.) Using a solid foil plate with the ‘leftover’ foil means you don’t waste any of your precious foil, which makes me super happy!
  4. Add two sub sentiments around the ‘&’, popping everything up with foam adhesive and strips of scrap cardstock.
  5. A few adhesive gems are the perfect embellishment.

Thank you so much for stopping by today, if you’re new here then I hope that you will consider subscribing.

Have a lovely, happy, safe, WONDERFUL week.

Stay Crafty!

Please be aware:

As part of my Design Team and Guest Design work I do often receive free products to use, but I only ever recommend products that I genuinely love.

Also, I know how incredibly lucky I am to have these opportunities, but you don’t always NEED the newest products or the ‘full set’.
So please don’t feel that you need everything.
I like to show a variety of brands and products; this way; this way there will be something for everybody to enjoy.
