Hey Crafty People!
This month has been somewhat hectic and I’m trying to fit in all my posts for this month’s makes in at the very end of the month/year! ? This is my card for Spellbinders’ Stitching Die of the Month for December and it doesn’t actually feature any stitching.
Rainbow Background
- Swipe a selection of Rainbow colour inks down from the top of an a2 panel of Neenah 80lb. To fit all of your colours in, try starting with your central colours and working out from there. Those textured areas where the ink doesn’t fully transfer give a really fun & interesting effect!
- Allow the ink to dry, then dry emboss the panel with a fun, balloon 3d Embossing folder.
- Gently swipe an embossing ink pad down the dry embossed panel; don’t press down as we only want the ink to catch on the raised areas and not over the whole thing.
- Using a fluffy brush, dust Confetti White Perfect Pearls over the panel, and it will stick to anywhere that the embossing ink is! Once you have covered it all, give the panel a good dust and tap to remove all of the excess powder. (TIP! Try very lightly spritzing the panel with water to set the Perfect Pearls into place.) It’s hard to catch the subtle shimmer on camera but this really is such an incredible effect!
Spellbinders’ Stitching Die of the Month December
- Cut the Stitched ‘love’ sentiment from holographic sparkle paper and craft foam, this will give your sentiment a lovely lift to help it stand out properly.
- Finish off your sentiment with a stamped sub sentiment. I went searching through my stash for something that would work well and I found this one in a stamp set from an old Spellbinders kit. Popped up on foam adhesive too and nestled against your ‘love’ die cut.
Please be aware:
As part of my Design Team and Guest Design work I do often receive free products to use, but I only ever recommend products that I genuinely love.
Also, I know how incredibly lucky I am to have these opportunities, but you don’t always NEED the newest products or the ‘full set’.
So please don’t feel that you need everything.
I like to show a variety of brands and products; this way there will be something for everybody to enjoy.
