Hey Crafty People!

I will always love a two-for-one card design and I find die-cut inlay to be so relaxing…so this is a favourite of mine for sure!

Die Cut Inlay Randomised

1. Using WOW’s ink pad, cover an a2 piece of cardstock then apply Clear Ocean to half of the panel and Sea Flower to the other half. Heat set, then die cut using the Criss Cross cover die. Set all of the little negative pieces safely aside. Cut the cover die from a white panel and keep all of the negative bits of this too.
2. Apply double sided adhesive to a 3rd panel of cardstock and carefully adhere the white positive die cut to it. This will leave exposed adhesive in all of the little negative areas.
3. Using a mix of all of the negative pieces, fill in the gaps, spreading the different colours across the whole panel in a random order.
4. Ink blend a piece of cardstock big enough to cut the shadow layer of our die set, using Distress Oxides. (I found that Salvaged Patina and Peacock Feathers were a really great match!) Die cut the shadow layer from this, and the detail layer from Silver mirror cardstock. Adhere them together using liquid adhesive.
5. Trim a rough oval of vellum that is large enough to sit nicely behind the sentiment just to help it pop a bit more, then adhere these to the card panel.
6. Layer a silver foiled sentiments from the Sweet Sentiments Fab Foiler on top of the die cut sentiment.
7. Embellish with gems.

Embossed Die Cut ‘Hello’

1. Adhere the embossed positive die cut panel onto an a2 panel of Neenah 80lb. Set aside.
2. Die cut the large Hello word die from Trinity Stamps out of heavyweight cardstock and emboss the die cut with Obsidian embossing powder. For a really showstopping effect, repeat this embossing 3-4 times.
3. Adhere the embossed sentiment onto a vellum shadow layer and then add this to the card panel.
4. Cut some of the Butterflies from Fly Away With Me 2 die set out of silver mirror cardstock and adhere them to using strong liquid glue on the middles only. Once dry, gently tease the wings up from added interest.
5. Embellish with Black Magic Glitterstones.
