Hey Crafty People!
Given that it is the Season of Love, I’m allowing myself a single soppy post dedicated to my wonderful hubby…but don’t worry, I’m sharing the details of how I made his Valentine’s Card too!
A Valentine For My Valentine
- Die cut all of the pieces from last month’s Small Die Of the Month from Spellbinders; using Neenah 110lb cardstock for the florals and Erin Lee Vegas glittery cardstock for the large heart.
- Using many shades of Catherine Pooler ink, I added colour to my florals; giving added dimension by varying the tone across each flower.
- Assemble the layered florals using liquid adhesive, then add those onto the foliage base pieces using a mix of liquid & foam adhesive.
- Adhere the two base pieces onto the glittery heart using liquid adhesive and place something on top to make sure theyaintaim good contact whilst the glue dries.
- Cut an a2 panel of red cardstock and ink blend a darker red ink around the edges to give it more interest. Once dry, adhere the heart onto your panel with foam adhesive; offsetting the heart slightly to be at an angle, and trim off any overhang.
- Foil a sentiment in Gold Matte foil and trim into a strip. (this was from my previously foiled and stored sentiments.) Add this onto the card with foam adhesive.
- Embellish with a number of adhesive backed gems.
